About Murfreesboro Premier Garage Door
A residential garage door company that names the failed part, writes the price line by line before touching the door, and states its hours instead of claiming to be open all night.
Murfreesboro Premier Garage Door repairs and replaces residential garage doors in Murfreesboro and the rest of Rutherford County, Tennessee. That is the whole job: springs, cables, rollers, hinges, track, sections, openers, sensors, remotes, weather seal, and a new door when the old one is past fixing. We do not do commercial rolling doors, driveway gates or fencing.
A sectional garage door is a small number of parts under a large amount of tension. A 16 foot double door weighs 300 to 450 pounds, and the springs are wound to carry that weight. Most of what goes wrong is one part reaching the end of its cycle count, and most of the job is knowing which one.
Request a Garage Door Repair Quote
Tell us what the door is doing, whether it is a single or a double, and the part of town you are in. Weekday requests get a reply the same working day, and the price is confirmed on site before any work starts.
What We Repair, and What We Do Not
We work on the door and everything bolted to it, from the springs and cables down to the bottom seal, and on the opener with its photo eyes, remotes and keypad. Spring work is the most common call. An opener that runs but does not lift is the second. New doors are steel sectional doors from Clopay, Amarr and Wayne Dalton in the standard 8, 9, 16 and 18 foot widths, and the old door leaves with us.
We do not run new electrical circuits. If a new opener needs its own outlet, that is a City electrical permit pulled by a licensed electrician, and we say so before the opener is ordered.
How a Quote Is Put Together
A quote comes after we have seen the door. On the phone we can give you the 2026 range for the symptom you describe, but the number you sign is written at the door after the whole system has been looked at: springs, cables, drums, rollers, hinges, track, seal, and the force, travel and photo eyes on the opener.
That quote is itemized, with parts, labor and the service call on separate lines. The Tennessee Attorney General's home repair guidance says every bid should be itemized and that a deposit should not exceed 10 to 25 percent of the total, and ours are written to that. A part that is worn but still working is listed as a second item you can take or leave. A new door agreed at the kitchen table comes with the written notice of the three business day right to cancel that Tennessee gives on sales signed at home.
The Rules We Work Under in Rutherford County
Tennessee requires a Home Improvement license for residential work from $3,000 to $24,999 in nine counties, and Rutherford is one of them. A single spring or opener repair sits under that line; a new double door with a new opener can cross it. Any contractor can be looked up at verify.tn.gov, and we confirm in writing what applies to your job before you sign.
Permits run through two offices depending on the address: the Murfreesboro Building and Codes Department inside the city limits, the County Building Codes office outside them. Neither lists garage doors as exempt work, so we confirm with the right office before a structural change or a new opener circuit. Like-for-like spring, cable and roller repairs do not need one.
Every opener made on or after January 1, 1993 falls under 16 CFR Part 1211, which requires a closing door to reverse within 2 seconds of touching an obstruction. We run that test before leaving and show you how to repeat it every 30 days.
What You Will Not Find on This Website
No years-in-business figure, no count of doors repaired, no rating we awarded ourselves, no license number. If something like that matters to you, ask on the phone and check it against the public record, which is what the State tells homeowners to do with every contractor.
No street address and no 24 hour claim either. We are a service area business working from the van, Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Calls outside those hours go to voicemail and are returned the same or next working day. What we do is on the services hub, where we drive is on the coverage page, and the contact page has the quote form.
Door Stuck? Tell Us What It Is Doing
A door that will not lift, hangs crooked, or stops a few inches off the floor is usually one failed part. Call during posted hours or send the symptoms and we will come out, name the part, and put an itemized price in front of you before we touch it.
